A minor in anthropology is an ideal complement to virtually any major at UC Davis. For the minor, the Department of Anthropology offers students a choice among four curricular options:
How does the universe work? The study of physics attempts to answer this question by examining the smallest subatomic particles, atoms, molecules, stars and galaxies.
Are you curious about studying how life works at a molecular level? Are you interested in solving biological problems using quantitative molecular-based techniques?
A single nerve cell, transmitting electrical impulses in a continuous chain of stimulus and response.
The biological sciences minor provides an opportunity for students in programs outside of the College of Biological Sciences to complement their studies with a concentration in biology.
Are you fascinated by how the cell operates in living organisms? Are you curious how the adult cell functions?
How is the twitch of a muscle fiber related to the silent explosion of a supernova? Every happening in the universe is linked at an atomic level by the principles of chemistry.
Do you want to work abroad one day? A major in Chinese is the gateway to the world’s most widely spoken language and to the rich and diverse traditions of a complex society.
How does the mind work? This is the foundational tenet of cognitive science.
