UC Davis pomology professor Abhaya Dandekar has received the Best Cross-Commodity Publication Award from the American Society for Horticultural Science for his paper, "Engineering genetic resistance against insects in Japanese persimmon," published in the Journal of the American Society for Horticultural Science.
