Ag Injuries Subject of Conference

Agriculture-related health problems and the impact of National Institute for Occupational Safety (NIOSH) center programs on agriculture will be the focus of a three-day conference at the UC Agricultural Health and Safety Center in Davis Feb. 27, 28 and March 1. Included in topics to be discussed are reducing farm-related injuries, the health status of migrant workers, possible causes of agricultural respiratory diseases, and the future of the land-grant college system. The programs on Sunday and Monday, Feb. 27 and 28, will be held at the Walter A. Buehler Alumni and Visitor Center. The program on Tuesday, March 1, will be held at the University Club. The UC Agricultural Health and Safety Center at Davis and NIOSH are sponsors of the symposium.
