Bill Liebhardt, director of the Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program at the University of California, Davis, recently received an award on behalf of SAREP. The research program was recognized as a model program by Renew America, a nonprofit environmental education organization. SAREP, which addresses the environmental and economic effects of farm practices, was also chosen recently as a case study for state sustainable agriculture programs by the Center for Science in the Public Interest.
