Two from the wildlife, fish and conservation biology department at UC Davis, Professor and Chair Joe Cech and Professor Peter Moyle, have received the "Award for Excellence in Fisheries Education." The American Fisheries Society award commends their dedication to the teaching profession and their personal contributions to the education of fisheries professionals. This recognition is in part attributed to their textbook, "Fishes: An Introduction to Ichthyology."
