Arthur Black, UC Davis professor emeritus of molecular biosciences and a founding faculty member of the School of Veterinary Medicine, has been selected as a 1996 fellow of the American Institute of Nutrition for outstanding contributions to nutrition science during his career. In 1952 he received the school's first National Institute of Health grant to study amino acids.
