Cynthia Savely, supervisor of the Small Animal Clinic's Patient Services Unit in the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital at the University of California, Davis, is the 1992 recipient of the Rachael Smith Award. Savely was cited for her assistance to veterinary students, her collaboration on writing infectious disease protocols and the development of a new hospital practices course.
