University of California, Davis, police arrested three students for felony possession of thousands of dollars worth of stolen property after searching their residence rooms Thursday and Friday.
In another incident Saturday, a Davis resident was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine or crank.
The students charged with possession of stolen property are Efren Sosa, 19; Dary Hua, 19; and Uland Wong, 18. All are residents of Thoreau Hall, 533 Oxford Circle.
Detective Sgt. Joyce Souza said university police arrested Sosa Thursday afternoon for possession of stolen property and obtained a warrant to search his and two other rooms Thursday evening.
Hua was arrested at the time of the search, and Wong was arrested Friday afternoon at the Fire and Police Building on campus when he met with police to discuss the items found in his room.
Souza said police recovered thousands of dollars of stolen property including computers, car stereos and boom boxes from burglaries and vehicle thefts on campus as well as residence and vehicle thefts in Davis.
Police obtained a warrant to search a fourth room, but no arrests were made.
Richard Daniel Snyder, 19, of 1709 Palm Lane was arrested early Saturday morning in the parking structure near Hickey Gymnasium for felony possession of methamphetamine or crank.
His 20-year-old companion, Andrew Clayton Scheid of 2033 F St. in Davis, was arrested for the misdemeanors of being under the influence of a drug as well as for failing to return or being in possession of found property. The item was a bicycle.
Neither Snyder nor Scheid is a UC Davis student.
All five individuals were booked at Yolo County Jail and are waiting charges from the Yolo County District Attorney's Office.
