In the exhibition are approximately 30 recent paintings, sculptures, drawings, ceramics and mixed media assemblages by 14 Vietnam-era veterans who express a range of aesthetic, political, social, and personal points of view in their work. The exhibit also will include a small selection of watercolors and drawings by three Vietnamese artists made during the war from a Bay Area collection.
"Fourteen artists -Vietnam Legacies, 20 Years Later" is presented in conjunction with a UC Davis-sponsored interdisciplinary conference of American and Vietnamese writers, cultural critics, historians and scientists, taking place April 27-30.
