Artwork of UC Davis Graduates on Exhibit at Memorial Union

Exhibit Title: "Recent Paintings" Dates: Nov. 3 to Dec. 15 Location: Memorial Union Art Gallery Second floor, Memorial Union University of California, Davis Hours: 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday through Friday Reception: 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3 Recently completed mixed-media, ceramics and works on paper of artists Karla Holland-Scholer, of Davis, and Gary Viviano, of Sacramento, will be exhibited at the Memorial Union Art Gallery. Both of the artists use the figure and architectural settings to develop personal statements about contemporary life. Holland-Scholer graduated from UC Davis with a B.A. in 1982 and from UC Berkeley with a M.F.A. in 1986. Holland-Scholer's work has been included in numerous exhibitions throughout California, including the John Natsoulas Gallery in Davis. Gary Viviano received his M.F.A. degree from UC Davis in 1985. Viviano's recent exhibitions include the Dean Moniz Gallery in Sacramento and the Richard L. Nelson Gallery at UC Davis. The Memorial Union Art Gallery is wheelchair accessible. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
