Lectures, music, performances and a cultural fair are among the free events open to the public April 22-27 during the annual Asian Pacific Cultural Week at UC Davis. This year's theme is "Unity Among Diversity." Highlights surrounding the student-organized event include: "Eth-Noh-Tec," a performance and interactive workshop on Asian American dance, music and storytelling by UC Davis alumnus Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo at 7 p.m. Monday, April 22, MU II in the Memorial Union; "I'm on a Mission From Buddha," a one-man performance by Lane Nishikawa at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, Main Theatre; poetry reading with Bei Dao, visiting professor and Nobel Prize finalist at noon Thursday, April 25, MU II in the Memorial Union; and the Asian Pacific Cultural Faire, a daylong festival featuring ethnic foods, colorful dances and music, as well as games and crafts for children and performances by regional groups, at 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 27, in Freeborn Hall and the nearby plaza.
