A UC Davis bicycle auction on Saturday, Oct. 9, will get the campus and the city of Davis' Cyclebration '93 into gear. The weeklong event celebrates bicycling with a variety of activities that include a freestyle riding exhibition, bike polo demonstration, bike picnic day, bike polo clinic, bike expo and a bike-from-work/school event to be held at the Davis Farmers Market. A public forum on the "Future of Davis Bike Facilities" will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14. The bike auction, one of two held annually on campus, will be held at 8 a.m. behind the UC Davis police and fire station. Approximately 300 bicycles will be on sale, to be sold to the highest bidders.
