Eric Conn, a professor of biochemistry at UC Davis and member of the National Academy of Sciences, recently received the 1991 Charles Reid Barnes Life Membership Award from the American Society of Plant Physiologists. Conn was given the society's oldest award in recognition of his "highly meritorious contributions to plant physiology and the excellence of his accomplishments in teaching, in research and in service to his colleagues."
