-- Police Chief Calvin Handy has been selected by his colleagues as systemwide coordinator for the UC police chiefs over the next three years. He will be the primary liaison with the Office of the President on campus safety issues and policy as well as the legislative liaison for police and safety matters. He'll also have responsibility for coordination of the systemwide police promotional processes and collective bargaining, and liaison with the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training.
