Clinton's press secretary to address UC Davis students

Mike McCurry, press secretary to President Bill Clinton, will speak via satellite telecast about "The White House and the Press" to UC Davis students in two political science classes Tuesday, June 2. His presentation, originating in Washington, D.C., will be transmitted live to students in Introduction to American Government and the Presidency, both taught by Professor Larry Berman, in Room 1100 of the Social Sciences and Humanities Building between 12:15 and 1:15 p.m. The interactive discussion will be the fifth and last in this year's "Governing America" series with prominent journalists, scholars and policy-makers. Eight such telecourse series, produced in conjunction with the UC Davis Washington Center, have brought government officials and other experts to Davis students. Members of the media may observe -- from the campus site -- McCurry's presentation.
