The national Council for Advancement and Support of Education has awarded UC Davis a bronze medal for its Phase III Communication Plan because the plan "exemplified how an institution can effectively deal head-on with a difficult budget cut." Credited for the plan were Chancellor Larry Vanderhoef, Interim Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Robert Grey, Assistant Vice Chancellor Jerry Hallee, Faculty Assistant Harvey Himelfarb, Public Communications Director Maril Revette Stratton, Dateline Editor Susanne Rockwell, Editorial Design Manager Jan Conroy and Designer Laurie Lewis.
