-- Cristina Gonzalez, UC Davis dean of graduate studies, returned to her alma mater, Indiana University, Bloomington, to deliver a lecture as part of the Distinguished Alumni Series. Gonzalez spoke on "The Future of Spanish in Academia." Gonzalez received her doctorate in Hispanic literature from Indiana University in 1981. She came to UC Davis as dean in 1997.
