Bob Smiley, dean of the Graduate School of Management at UC Davis, has been appointed to Sacramento Mayor Joe Serna's Council of Economic Development Advisers. This 25-member group of business leaders will advise the mayor and Sacramento City Council on issues relating to jobs and economic growth for the region. Smiley will be advising the Solano County Economic Development Corp. and Solano mayors in March on how to develop a similar economic development group.
