Ecosystem management as an approach to species protection will be the topic of a daylong environmental law conference to be held Saturday, Feb. 15, at the UC Davis law school. Titled "Ecosystem Management: Law, Science and Policy," the conference begins at 9 a.m. with a keynote address by Professor Robert Keiter of the University of Utah; Professor Sally Fairfax, of UC Berkeley, will give the luncheon talk. Topics to be discussed include the Bay-Delta accord, the Sierra Nevada Ecosystem Project and natural communities conservation planning. Speakers during the day will include representatives from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, National Park Service, California Department of Fish and Game, Natural Heritage Institute, Endangered Habitat League and attorneys who represents developers.
