Jay Lund, professor of civil and environmental engineering at UC Davis, has received the Walter L. Huber Prize from the American Society of Civil Engineers. The prize recognizes Lund's research on innovative applications of economic theory and systems analysis that have improved the management of urban water supplies, reservoir operation, water transfers, municipal solid waste and dredging. Lund is a convenor of the San Francisco Bay-Delta Modeling Forum and on the advisory committee for the California Water Plan update.
