Zuhair Munir, a UC Davis professor of chemical engineering and materials science, and associate dean for graduate affairs in the College of Engineering, is a new member of the International Academy of Ceramics. He is cited for his work in combustion synthesis. Individuals who have made an internationally renowned contribution to the advancement of ceramic science and technology are elected to the academy.
