Harry Cheng, assistant professor in the UC Davis mechanical and aeronautical engineering department, received the Proctor & Gamble Best Paper Award at the 1993 Third National Conference on Applied Mechanisms and Robotics. The award was for his paper "Real-Time Four-Dimensional Collision Detection for an Industrial Robot Manipulator."
