Environmental Discussions

* May 10, Monday -- Panel discussions on the environment during the day and a lecture in the evening are part of the prestigious Tanner Lectureship in Human Values, being held for the first time at UC Davis. Richard White, a Stanford University history scholar, will speak on "The History of Nature and the Problem of Purity," at 8 p.m. in the Main Theatre. Earlier in the day, a series of three panel discussions on topics including watersheds, teaching and the environment, and politics and nature in California will be held at the Alumni and Visitors Center.
