"Celebrity Cover-ups and Other Scandalous Objects" features the imaginative creations of students in an exhibition design class at UC Davis. Dolph Gotelli, the class instructor and director of the Design Gallery, asked his students to imagine and create objects that might be associated with highly publicized, scandalous or embarrassing incidents connected with famous figures in the world of politics, sports and entertainment.
Figures who have items representing them in the tongue-in-cheek show are Michael Jackson, Dan Quayle and Geraldo Rivera. Among the exhibit objects are jeweled handcuffs from Zsa Zsa Gabor, a broken heel from former First Lady Nancy Reagan, and the napkin used by President George Bush when he was sick in Japan.
The Design Gallery is in Walker Hall, located on Peter J. Shields Avenue in the central part of the campus. For more information, call (916) 752-6223.
