Family farmers and ranchers from throughout California will gather Feb. 25-28 at the Radisson Hotel in Sacramento to learn about new production techniques, marketing ideas and participants' own agricultural operations during the 12th annual California Farm Conference. Keynote speaker will be Wes Jackson, founder of the Land Institute, a nonprofit organization devoted to sustainable agriculture and land stewardship, headquartered in Kansas. Other conference highlights will include tours of nearby farmers markets, foothill farms, the delta and animal research facilities at UC Davis.
