First Meeting of the Minds on Brains in San Francisco

Searching for a better understanding of how the mind arises from the brain, a group of cognitive neuroscientists have formed a new association, which is holding its inaugural meeting March 27-29in San Francisco. Organized in part by UC Davis professors Michael Gazzaniga and Ron Mangun, the first meeting of the fledgling Cognitive Neuroscience Society will cover cutting-edge research in memory, consciousness, attention, neural modeling and brain plasticity. The meeting will provide a forum for psychologists and biologists to address common issues in this fast-growing field.
