For its quality debut in the National Youth Sports Program, UC Davis will receive a first-year program recognition award for 1995 project performance from the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Sports camp director Al Beaird and volleyball coach Sharon King have been recognized by the program for their outstanding leadership in directing the summer program for at-risk children in the region.
