Food Science Professor Receives Research Award

Michael McCarthy, assistant professor of food science and technology at UC Davis, has received the 1991 Samuel Cate Prescott Award for Research. The award recognizes members of the Institute of Food Technologists who have shown outstanding progress in food research. McCarthy was honored for his contributions to the techniques involved in the acidification and quality evaluation of foods.
