Former Postmaster to Speak at Business School Graduation

Anthony M. Frank, recently retired postmaster general of the United States who administered for four years the nation's largest private employer will be the commencement speaker Saturday, June 20, for the UC Davis Graduate School of Management. An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service has 750,000 career employees and an annual budget of nearly $50 billion. During his administration as postmaster general, Frank emphasized the development and implementation of a strategic plan for the postal service to improve both finances and service. Concerned with maintaining high levels of postal productivity, Frank's administration increased the postal service efficiency to 10 times that of the historic average, according to postal service records. At the 10 a.m. ceremony M.B.A. degrees will be conferred upon 53 men and 24 women in Freeborn Hall.
