Harvesting Views on Food Safety

How safe is our food? Scientists, public policy-makers and others will discuss this question during a half-day UC Davis symposium Thursday, Sept. 17, in Sacramento. Called "Food Safety: A Harvest of Viewpoints," the symposium includes talks about the new FoodSafe program at UC Davis, community health and food safety, food safety crises and the news media, and food safety policy in California. The three-hour program, sponsored by the campus College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, begins at 10 a.m. in the Shot of Class restaurant.
