A pathbreaking conference "Diversity with a Difference: Serving 3 Million Aging Gays and Lesbians," will be held Monday, June 22, in the Hotel Nikko, San Francisco, under the co-sponsorship of The Center for Aging and Health. The conference will bring together health care and social service administrators and providers, policy-makers and planners, network representatives dealing with aging, educators and researchers on gay and lesbian issues associated with aging, and older gay men and lesbians. Rep. Gerry Studds, D-Mass., a member of the House Select Committee on Aging, will be the keynote speaker. Statistics show that there are at least 3 million gay men and women over 65 in the United States.
