Medical professor Klea Bertakis has been appointed to the Medical Board of California by Gov. Pete Wilson. She was initially appointed to the Medical Quality Review Committee in 1981 and reappointed in 1984 and 1988. A faculty member at UC Davis since 1980, Bertakis has served as the chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine since 1995.
