Michelle Yeh, professor in Chinese and Japanese, was awarded $25,000 and the UC President's Fellowship in the Humanities. She will take a sabbatical next year to work on her book on culture identity and modern Chinese poetry. Yeh was also rewarded the American Council of Learned Societies award. The award is a research grant that will allow Yeh to conduct research in China next summer.
