UC Davis Fleet Services Manager Jack Harris and Shop Supervisor Hans Abplanalp have received the Larry Goill Award for Quality Fleet Management Ideas. Sponsored by the National Association of Fleet Administrators and Bell-Canada, the international award recognizes fleet managers whose creative ideas have improved productivity and quality or produced substantial bottom-line savings for their employers. Harris and Abplanalp developed a database to enable their fleet to assess a vehicle's air-conditioning system. Harris also won this award last year, making him the first person to be honored twice.
