UC Davis entomology professor emeritus Robert Washino has received the Distinguished Achievement Award from the Society of Vector Ecology. It is the society's highest honor. He also received the Medal of Honor from the American Mosquito Control Association and is accepted as a Fellow in the Entomological Society of America.
