A recent award from the American Psychological Association recognizes UC Davis research psychologist Gregory Herek for his work furthering the understanding of prejudice and discrimination related to sexual orientation. The 1996 Distinguished Contribution to Psychology in the Public Interest (Early Career) Award honors Herek for applying psychological research to ensure that public policy decisions are informed by sound psychological science.
