UC Davis statistics professor Wesley Johnson was elected a fellow of the American Statistical Association. The American Statistical Association is the largest professional organization for statisticians that awards the honorary title of fellow to recognize members of established reputation who have made outstanding contributions in some aspect of statistical work. Johnson was honored for outstanding research in Bayesian statistics and medical screening tests, and for excellence in graduate-level teaching.
