A UC President's Fellowship for Research in the Humanities has gone to Judith Newton, UC Davis professor in the women's studies department. She will be on leave during the 1998-99 academic year to continue work on the manuscript "Third Wave or Contested Territory? Masculinity, Race and Nation in the Christian Men's Movement."
