The American Society of Clinical Nutrition recently gave Kenneth Brown, UC Davis nutrition professor and director of the international nutrition program here, its E.V. McCollom Award. The society cited his research with children in developing countries, which challenged conventional views on infant feeding during diarrhea and contributed to better understanding of dietary determinants of children's growth.
