The campus where everyone bikes has collected hundreds of homeless bicycles that will go to the highest bidders on Saturday, May 1, at the spring UC Davis Bicycle Auction. Bicycles of all shapes, sizes and conditions will go on sale at 9 a.m. behind the campus Fire and Police Building. The bikes, which are retrieved by police after being abandoned or stolen, are collected during the winter and spring months. They will be joined by a variety of unclaimed lost-and-found items that include tape recorders, jewelry, watches, clothing, books and calculators.
