Guillermo Gomez-Pena, an internationally acclaimed performance artist, author and activist, will give a free, public performance at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, in UC Davis' Main Theatre. Gomez-Pena is on campus during May as the UC Davis Regents' lecturer. He is the author of the book "Warrior Out of Gringostroika." His performance will consist of some of his new works and will feature UC Davis students. While on campus, Gomez-Pena is also conducting evening workshops for students exploring such issues in art as political activism, art as reversed anthropology and art as an experimental chronicle of history.
