The Distinguished Achievement Citation from Iowa State University, the highest award given to Iowa State alumni, has been given to Ralph Kitchell, professor emeritus of veterinary neuroscience at UC Davis. The award lauds his 50-year veterinary career and service to four land-grant universities, including contributions as an internationally known veterinary anatomist, veterinary educator, administrator, and researcher.
