-- Jacob Kehinde Olupona, director and professor of the UC Davis African American and African studies program and director of religious studies, was recently awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from the University of Edinburgh. Olupona, who was recognized for his intellectual contributions to the study of African religions, will travel to the United Kingdom in late July to participate in a ceremony to receive his award.
