Students who received Master of Business Administration degrees this spring are much more confident about finding jobs than they were a year ago. More than 50 percent of this year's graduates already have employment, and within the next three months at least 85 percent of the graduates from UC Davis will have jobs in the business field, according to Don Blodger, career services director at the Graduate School of Management at UC Davis. "Intel and Hewlett-Packard continue to hire more of our students than any other employers," says Blodger. "The average beginning salary for our graduates entering the work force will be close to $46,000 annually." The most popular employment fields for UC Davis M.B.A. graduates this year are accounting, computer and high-technology fields.
