-- Joel Friedman, philosophy professor emeritus from UC Davis, is a visiting fellow at Princeton University's philosophy department this academic year. Friedman is working with Princeton professor Bas van Fraassen, a pre-eminent philosopher of science, on a problem in the intersection of philosophy of science and philosophy of mathematics. Friedman called it "one of the most intellectually exciting research projects I have worked on in years."
