-- UC Cooperative Extension turkey specialist John Voris in the UC Davis Department of Animal Science was named the California Poultry Federation's Person of the Year at the federation's annual conference in Fresno. The award recognizes his many years of service to the poultry industry. Voris worked in Extension for 13 years and, before that, for Nicholas Turkey Breeding Farms for 25 years. He retired in June 1999, only to be called back to UC on a part-time basis.
