-- Kenneth Brown, UC Davis professor of nutrition, is chair of the eight-member international steering committee of the newly formed International Zinc Nutrition Consultative Group that met recently in Stockholm, Sweden, at the conference on "Zinc and Human Health." The Nutrition Programme of the United Nations University and the International Union of Nutrition Scientists established the group to improve zinc nutrition in vulnerable populations of low-income countries and to provide related technical assistance to governments and international agencies.
