Joel Dobris, a leading authority in the field of trusts and estates law at UC Davis, is this year's recipient of the William A. Rutter Award for Teaching Excellence at the School of Law. The William A. Rutter Award was established in 1980 by William and Sally Rutter. Professor Dobris will receive an award of $5,000. A member of the law faculty since 1976, Dobris has taught property; trusts, wills and estates; future interests; estate planning; fiduciary administration; and estate-and-gift taxation and planning.
