For the third consecutive year, law school graduates at UC Davis have posted the highest passing rate of any American Bar Association-approved law school among all takers of California's July bar examination. UC Davis' passing rate was 86.5 percent, followed by Loyola Law School's 85.8 percent and University of Southern California's 83.6 percent. "All of us at the law school are gratified by this continuing level of performance," said acting Dean Edward H. Rabin. "Adding to our pride is the fact that we can achieve such results and also boast one of the best retention rates of any ABA law school in the state." Among first-time takers, UC Davis law school graduates passed at a rate of 88.6 percent, placing it third behind UCLA's 90 percent and Loyola's 89.4 percent. During the last five years, UC Davis has placed among the top three law schools in the passage rates for first-time takers.
