-- Linda Whent, master adviser for the UC Davis Agricultural Education Program, has been given an Honorary State Farmer Degree from the California Future Farmers Association. A lecturer based in the Department of Agronomy and Range Science, Whent is involved in several research projects, coordinates the annual UC Davis Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Field Day and is an adviser for the college Aggie Ambassadors. She recently served on the state committee to establish standards of quality and effectiveness for subject matter in agricultural education.
